Letter to David Cameron
Gary Hatton our Dorset sector secretary has become so enraged with the recent proposed changes to the Ambulance staff pensions he felt compelled to put pen to paper and write to The Prime Minister.
Asking some very straight forward questions and putting across some strong examples of the tough job that is done every day and night by Ambulance staff across the country.
Simple questions like; asking why the ambulance service is not recognised as an emergency service in the same way as say the Fire service? Despite the work load being more in one day for the Ambulance service than the Fire service do in a whole year, the Fire service still enjoy an earlier retirement age.
Please read with interest Gary's letter and the response (you'll note the response is from the Department of Health and not the PM himself).
We hope this will inspire you further to become active in any way you came and fight to protect our Pensions.
