Enduring Values - UNISON's vision for the NHS 02/06/11

Summary:

UNISON has laid out its vision for the future of the NHS, complete with real life stories from NHS patients. This vision lies at the core of our battle to speak up for the health service and to campaign to protect the NHS from the threat of being privatised and fragmented. See below for further details, including how to place your order for the vision document

In full:

UNISON cares passionately about the future of our health service. The NHS must continue to be a public service that gives us quality care that is local, easy to access and free when we need it. We have laid out our vision for the future as part of our wider campaign to defend and protect the NHS. This document, Enduring Values - UNISON's Vision for the Future of the NHS, is available for branches to order by e-mailing stockorders@unison.co.uk, quoting stock order number 2993. The document can be viewed at http://www.unison.org.uk/acrobat/19874.pdf

At the heart of this document are real life stories from NHS patients demonstrating how widely loved the NHS is and why we must ensure that it survives for generations to come. It is hoped that branches can use the document in their campaigns for the NHS.

UNISON is circulating the document to politicians, the media and key opinion formers as part of our campaign against the Health and Social Care Bill and to defend the NHS.
