25 Online

Because we want our Education and Training programme to reflect a constantly changing political and industrial landscape the regional education team have developed 25 online. Members can be updated with the latest information about courses and upcoming events.

The site will also include the new 25 magazine with features and articles in an easy to use flip page format. This will enable us to be available to a wider audience and more responsive to members' education and training needs.

25 magazine will also provide extra content such as video clips and you will be able to contact people and obtain information quicker via available links.   A downloadable version of the magazine will also be available to print. http://www.1in25.co.uk

Education and Life Long Learning

Education is really important to our members and our reps. To help you we have a branch education co ordinator who can help you find the right courses. UNISON offers education help for its members like a 10% discount on Open University Courses. Please see the main UNISON site for more information or contact our Branch Education Co Ordinator.

Our branch also has a budget to help our members to get skills they need or to help support learning. This pool of money is not to replace training that should be provided by your employer but may help you get the skills needed to support you on a further or higher education course. To apply please speak to your Sector Secretary or Education Co Ordinator

We also offer our reps the chance to study reps modules and this is an excellent way to improve your skills, learn new ones and enjoy representing members. The programmes can be downloaded here.
