Friday 27th and Saturday 28th January 2012 at Somerset College, Wellington Road, Taunton.
As well as 2 days of interesting workshops on campaigning, organising, politics, feminism and social media and panels there will be a rally starting at 7.00 on Friday 27th at which Dave Prentis, UNISON General Secretary will be the main speaker . There will also be other speakers and music from Grace Petrie.
The event is open to all UNISON members and activists. The Branch is looking to send as many members as possable but you will need to pay all travel and accommodations costs. Some of you may have attended the event held in March, which was very successful and proved very popular. So please circulate amongst your members as well as branch officers and activists and encourage them to come along to both the skills sessions and evening rally.

Member Consultation - Your Views are Needed
We are seeking views from our members about our branch constitution and the proposed changes we would like to make. The changes are intended to enable good member representation and focuses our organisation around the development of sectors and local workplace representatives. From Jan to March 2011 we will be holding rolling AGM's which we need our members and workplace representatives to attend as we will be confirming posts and looking for new representatives to help us through what will prove to be the most challenging time for our NHS for more than 60 years.
