The above people dedicate their own time towards their roles within the branch. Becoming active within the union can be a rewarding experience.

If are a UNISON member, why not consider becoming more involved. Our branch relies on the strength and motivation of it's membership to remain effective. If you have an issue you would are concerned about, and would like to air your views in an active way by attending your local branch meeting. All members are always welcome to such meetings.

Perhaps you could become a steward and begin representing your colleagues. You will be given full training, resources and support, and you can enhance your personal development through new skills and qualifications, whilst knowing that you can help  support others.  

We currently need people from all backgrounds and of all ages right now, so if think you might be interested, then please get in touch with your nearest steward, or else your sector or branch secretary. You could make a real difference.
