Members will by now have seen the Trust’s Interim SOP about the management of breaks. As many of you will know the Trust consulted with us about this document allowing us to raise members concerns. We raised these concerns but this has not been reflected in the SOP that has been released.

Members in Dorset are particularly concerned as this is a complete change to working practices for them. We would like to reassure all our members that we will be pursuing a proper and fit for purpose meal break agreement. The SOP has been released by management without a partnership agreement and therefore your UNISON branch will be meeting with trust management to get this resolved as soon as possible. Your experiences are vital to our consultation, so please continue to inform your Unison stewards of your concerns.
