A meeting was held in Dorset on Tuesday 4th December. As usual, the meeting took place in
the evening, at The Courtyard Centre, in Lychett Minster, near Poole. Members were encouraged to attend and have their say, and the turnout was
very encouraging.
A number of important issues were discussed and
debated, including the national recommmendations for meal breaks, the vehicle
situation in Dorset and Health and several safety concerns. Members who were
there were able to air their views on these matters. There was enthusiastic
discussion, with some important views being expressed.
Branch executive members from across the tryst-wide area met in Taunton the
following day. The isues from the Dorset meeting the night before were brought
to the executive, and these were discussed along with other important matters of
concern to branch - including ECA training, technician banding, staff welfare
and domestic violence and the HPC.
Detailed minutes were taken of both the above meetings, and once approved, will be
posted on the archive pages of this site.
The next Dorset Sector Meeting is due to be held on 26th February 2008. The
next Branch meeting in Taunton is due on 27th February. Both of these will be
AGM's, where members are invited t attend, and where voting for positions within
the branch/sector will take place.
